FASTING: Three days of fasting will turn on internal anti-oxidant productions and stem cell production. The downside is that cortisol levels may likely increases as your body puts more pressure and stress on your adrenals.

When recovering from any illness I would proceed with caution in undertaking under long-term fasting regimen. Intermittent fasting is likely more gentle on your adrenal system. But, again, would exercise caution if recovering from an illness.
